Summer Vacation Scheme – an interview with Clarke Willmott’s Director of Human Resources
This summer, we’re inviting candidates to apply for a paid internship programme which will run from 15 – 19 July.
We spoke to Dan Jones, Director of Human Resources for Clarke Willmott, to learn more about what the scheme offers.
What is the Clarke Willmott Summer Vacation Scheme?
The Summer Vacation Scheme is an opportunity for individuals who are considering a career in law to gain experience of working within a law firm. Participants will have the opportunity to work within one of our specialist legal teams, meet a wide range of individuals from across the firm and receive training on skills that are required to have a successful career in law.
Following completion of the programme, successful candidates will then be offered the opportunity to participate in a mentoring programme, allowing them to further develop their skills whilst they complete their studies.
Why has Clarke Willmott decided to run this scheme?
We hope that offering the programme provides an opportunity to give experiences of working in a law firm to those who may not otherwise have had this chance. We’re looking to identify talented individuals who wish to remain connected with Clarke Willmott and ultimately will pursue a career in law.
Why should someone apply to this scheme?
The scheme offers someone the chance to gain valuable experience in a leading national law firm followed by participation in a mentoring programme. This gives the chance to develop core skills and knowledge to support in a future entry into the legal profession.
