Raft of promotions at Clarke Willmott

We are delighted to announce a number of internal promotions across six of our regional offices

These include six lawyers promoted to salaried partner, seven to senior associate and 13 to associate, all of which took effect on 1 May 2020.

The new partners include Bristol lawyers Karl Brown in the commercial property team, Laura Robinson in the financial litigation team and Jennifer O’Donnell in risk & compliance. In Manchester is property litigation specialist Aaron Macauley while Taunton lawyers Alastair MacLeod in the family team and Sarah Manley in commercial property are among the new partners.

Stephen Rosser, Clarke Willmott’s CEO, said: “The promotion process this year was concluded during exceptional times, to which we continue to respond. Whilst we all face many challenges in adapting to our new ways of working it has been a pleasure to see so many excellent examples of how those being promoted have stepped up in readiness for their new roles.

“Developing our people is absolutely fundamental to us as a business and this year this is more important than ever before as we position ourselves to continue to overcome our current challenges and move quickly once we return to a new form of business as usual. Those promoted will assume greater responsibilities, and in many cases leadership roles, and the skills they have demonstrated will be vital as we become accustomed to a new normal.”

Senior associate promotions include Hannah LiveseyDavid Stedman and Aimee Davies in Bristol, Jade LyusLaura Mackain-Bremner in Taunton and Mark Christie in Manchester.

Promotions to associate include Lara Saunders in Birmingham; Sarah Marchant and Sophie Bedwell in Bristol; Harriet Atkin, Sarah Bennett and Natalie Pickford in Manchester; Simone Protheroe in London; Emma MaceyKayleigh CullisEmily Jenkins, Carly Blunn and Claire Smith in Taunton and Jenny Lilley in Southampton.
