Working in our Bristol office
First established in Taunton in 1888 Clarke Willmott’s has had a strong presence in the South-West for over 135 years and established its first Bristol office in 1986. In 2024, we moved into our new office at Assembly Building C on Cheese Lane.
One of our core values is that everyone is welcome and the brand-new reception space in the office embodies that value by welcoming everybody. Spanning across two floors, you will find plenty of opportunities to take a break in our business lounge area, have quiet focus time in one of our meeting rooms or pods and plenty of time to socialise with colleagues whilst making a coffee. This space has been designed with our people in mind and we want to make sure it is an optimal space for effective working.
As you settle into your workspace and power up your laptop for the day, you will have access to two monitors to make the most out of your work. Our open-plan office space enables you to maximize your productivity while working in the office and provides ample opportunities to connect with your team and colleagues throughout the day
Our Bristol office also hosts a series of social events, such as adventure golf, quiz nights and even a tour of Bristol Cathedral, bringing everyone together to relax after work.

Career Progression in Bristol
Recently, we made a raft of internal promotions at our Bristol office as part of our commitment to people development. In total, 9 of our Bristol lawyers were promoted which included 3 promotions to partner, 4 to senior associate and 2 to associate.

Most of this year’s promotions are of lawyers who joined the firm as paralegal, trainees or NQ solicitors.
