Professional Support Lawyer
Sian is responsible for the organisation and maintenance of the team’s know how, legal precedents and other knowledge resources.
Sian is the Professional Support Lawyer for the Corporate and Commercial team. She advises fee earners and keeps both the team and clients up to date with new law and regulatory developments.
In addition, Sian co-ordinates the team’s training programme, presenting monthly know how sharing sessions, as well as producing regular updates for the corporate and commercial lawyers highlighting developments in law and practice.
Sian joined Clarke Willmott LLP in 2008 having trained as a lawyer with City law firm Jones Day (formerly Gouldens), working as a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions. She was an associate at Barlow Lyde and Gilbert before moving to a knowledge management role at Wragge & Co (now Gowling WLG).

She writes regular, focused “LawBites” intended to provide clients with a clear explanation of new legal developments and the implications for their business and has put together a series of Information Sheets containing practical advice on specific topics of interest, for example, directors’ duties, completing a company’s PSC register, requirements of The Modern Slavery Act etc. which are sent to contacts of the team.
