Experience
- Rebecca recently acted for the executors of a multi million pound cross border estate with assets and liabilities in several jurisdictions which was subject to an Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 claim, involved the sale of a group of limited companies and negotiations with HMRC in connection with lifetime tax avoidance schemes.
- Rebecca has acted for the executors of the estate of a Lloyds name. The estate administration involved not only dealing with the Lloyds underwriting business but also the sale of several private family businesses, the winding up of various family trusts and the variation of the terms of the Will for Inheritance tax purposes and to avoid the operation of the rules on interaction.
- Rebecca has recently advised a high net worth family on the creation of some family and charitable trusts and the settling of private company shares into those various family trusts for the future generations of the family, giving advice as to the most tax efficient structures, whilst achieving equality and independence for the various beneficiaries.
