Mamunul is a Senior Associate in the Financial Services Litigation team. He is instructed by clients including private clients and financial advisers, as both claimant and defendant, on a range of complex disputes. His practice covers a wide range of financial products with particular expertise in disputes relating to pensions. Having spent nine months on secondment at a leading wealth management firm, Mamunul prioritises easy to understand actionable advice.

Mamunul is a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurers and the Personal Finance Society. He is also studying towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Mamunul was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 Bristol Law Society awards, in recognition of his outstanding performance and dedication. He and the rest of the financial services litigation team were also shortlisted for Team of the Year in recognition of their efforts securing redress for hundreds of steelworkers who were advised to transfer out of the British Steel Pension Scheme; a long-running case in which Mamunul took a leading role. He also contributed to the National Audit Office’s investigation into defined benefit pension transfer advice regulation and is regularly quoted in the financial press on the topic.
