He works with employers and employees handling all employment issues that arise from dealing with directors and staff that have misappropriated funds to day to day issues such as maternity leave, sickness absence management and minor disciplinary issues.
How Jonathon can help you
Jonathon has a real passion for the the manufacturing industries education establishments and public sector work. Each of those individual sectors has unique challenges whether it be the clash between traditional public sector unions and the more recent advent of academies and trusts or the challenge of sometimes high turn over of staff. Jonathon’s experience as a police officer gives him the ability to consider facts and evidence in the round, conduct thorough and robust investigations that will stand up to scrutiny, and put the client in the best possible position for litigation if it becomes necessary.
Jonathon has acted for a number of clients who have been the victim of large scale theft from employees and directors. One client suffering from a director misclaiming expenses of more than £750,000 resulting in the involvement of the fraud team in the local police service and the return of a significant shareholding by the director. Another client suffered from a fellow LLP member diverting business away from the LLP and transferring funds directly from the LLP to another Ltd company. At mediation this resulted in his client receiving a payment in excess of £300,000 and the dissolution of the LLP.
