Faraz is an Associate in the contentious construction team based in Manchester. Previously, Faraz spent several years in London and Manchester working exclusively in commercial litigation, before focusing on contentious construction work.
Faraz has acted for a diverse range of construction clients including local authorities, the NHS, social housing providers, universities, international corporations, HNW individuals and contractors/sub-contractors.
Typically, Faraz is involved in resolving disputes relating to delay/disruption, final account disputes, in addition to defect claims arising from poor design and/or workmanship. Faraz is familiar with various forms of ADR including adjudication, arbitration and mediation. Given Faraz’s background in litigation, he is also able assist with disputes within the Technology and Construction Court (TCC).

Faraz works with his clients to receive advice early on in order to avoid disputes entirely. Sometimes, this is not possible and Faraz endeavours to assist clients through the complexities of disputes in order to reach a commercially viable solution.
Faraz is able to assist with all construction related disputes, in different forums, including adjudications, arbitration, mediation and court proceedings.
