We have an exciting opportunity for a commercial property lawyer to join our national property division working primarily in our Housebuilder team.

We are one of the largest Commercial Property teams in the UK who are renowned for having deep sector knowledge and experience for any transaction no matter how large or complex. We are consistently ranked highly by both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
With an enviable client base including household names, developers, and investors, and housebuilders, we are looking to appoint a commercial property lawyer to join the division with a particular focus on housebuilder work.
Clarke Willmott’s multi-disciplinary, multi-office Housebuilder sector encompasses all areas of law it takes to build a home, from land buying, planning and construction to site set up and plot conveyancing. We are regarded as leading legal advisers to the residential development sector, acting for many of the UK’s largest volume housebuilders as well as for strategic land companies, smaller traditional builders and niche start-up ventures.
The Sector is led by Philip Thompson who previously worked as an in-house Legal Director at a national Housebuilder.
Chambers describe us as ‘a respected team well known for its representation of housebuilders as part of its strong development offering’.
We are looking for an ambitious Solicitor or Associate to work with us in either our Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester office.
This role will focus your technical and client management skills with access to challenging and varied work, working alongside highly respected leading practitioners. There are real opportunities for career development as you gain momentum and build your client relationships.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Our national commercial property division has a presence in all seven of our offices and consists of approximately 90 fee earners and support staff. Nationally, we have 32 well-regarded Partners, and we are continuing to grow.
Our presence is national, and our lawyers advise at every stage of the commercial property lifecycle from first plans to asset management and disposal. We specialise in all aspects of commercial property and pride ourselves on our diverse offering. Our lawyers work with big businesses and small operators all over the world. Our expertise lie in the following sectors: Real Estate Investor and Developer, Social Housing, Housebuilder, Retail and Leisure, Telecoms, Banking and Finance, Green Energy and Real Estate Asset Management to name a few.
We are looking for an ambitious Solicitor or Associate to work with us. You will have a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience and be excited by the opportunity to be involved with working with our specialist Housebuilder team. There will also be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of commercial property work.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
