Join us as a Front of House Assistant at our modern office in Taunton (TA1 2PG). In this rare role you’ll be part of a small, friendly, and experienced Facilities team.
As the face of Clarke Willmott (front of house) you’ll handle all aspects of reception as well as some hospitality services.
Our team is based onsite Monday to Friday and work on a rota basis to cover shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm. If you are interested in working part time this will be three full days Wednesday to Friday.
As we’re based out of town, we are pleased to offer free parking.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Ensure excellent customer experience for our visitors and other Front of Desk responsibilities to include:
Switchboard/Reception
- Promptly and efficiently deal with telephone calls.
- Take and pass on accurate messages as required.
- Courteously greet and interact with visitors to the premises.
- Deal with any other reception or switchboard duties as required.
- Manage room and hospitality booking.
Hospitality
- Setting up meeting rooms.
- Arranging hospitality and catering.
- Supervising and assisting at events.
- Diary management and planning.
Customer Service
- Deal with any customer enquiries in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Anticipate customers’ needs and assist where possible.
- Maintain awareness of day-to-day health and safety requirements in the surrounding working area.
- Raise any health and safety concerns to the Office and Facilities Manager immediately.
- Participate in any on site health and safety audits or assessments.
Visitor Management
- Registering visitors to the premises with the correct lanyards and access pass.
- Recording information accurately on to systems.
- Complying to the physical security policy.
Administration:
- Booking travel such as hotels, trains, and taxis for fee earners.
- Assisting with stock ordering for kitchens and toilets.
- Following procedures for logging all incoming deliveries to the main reception.
- Carrying out pool car checks.
- Producing access cards for new starters
- Starter & leaver administration.
- Ad hoc administration to support the facilities team.
- Processing reprographic work for fee earner’s such as scanning and printing.
Team Collaboration
- Supporting the facilities team to conduct tasks as and when required.
- Flexibility to adjust to different working scenarios.
- Liaising and communicating clearly with all levels of employees.
You’ll also comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
This role is right for you if:
- You are a professional communicator who enjoys being customer facing.
- You have strong attention to detail and an organised approach to your work.
- Experience in a front of house, facilities or reception role is essential.
- Candidates with switchboard experience will be preferred.
