Diversity, equality and inclusivity
You will be joining a supportive culture where everyone is welcome. It’s simple – we recruit, retain and reward our people on professional ability and contribution, nothing else. Working with us you will be valued, encouraged and respected.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
We are a signatory of the Law Society Diversity and Inclusion Charter. The Charter is a public statement of commitment by providers of legal services to develop and implement best practice in equality, diversity and inclusion.
To meet our commitment to this charter, we have an active Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The committee works hard to build an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone can reach their full potential.
We are also a signatory of the Bristol Women in Business Charter and members of Inclusive Employers.
If there is a diversity and inclusion initiative that you are passionate about, we may be able support you in pursuing it.
Diversity data
In June 2023, we conducted an anonymous staff survey as part of the law firm diversity data collection exercise required by the SRA. Collecting this data helps us identify where we can do more to build a diverse workforce that is more reflective of the UK population.
Some key figures about our people:
- 69% are female
- 87.71% state British, English, Welsh, Northern Irish or Scottish as their ethnic group
- 86.87% are heterosexual
- 61.73% went to UK state run or state-funded schools (non-selective)
- 55.03% are not religious and 31.84% are Christian
- 6.42% consider themselves to have a disability

Gender pay gap report
Our focus is on positive change as we continue to work to eliminate the gender pay gap.
Here are some of our findings from our latest report:
- Amongst the highest paid of our people (top quartile) where 65% are women, the gender pay gap is 11.53%, with men earning more than women.
- Amongst the lowest paid (lower quartile) where 82% are women, the gender pay gap is -0.73%, with women earning more than men.
- Women represent 67% of our qualified legal roles.
- An analysis of Equity Members shows 18.5% are women and the gender pay gap is 6.2%, with men earning more than women.
