Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Providing high quality and pro-active support to the team. Regular duties will include but are not limited to:
- Making online shopping purchases.
- Reviewing and negotiating membership/subscription packages for things such as gyms, TV services, mobile phone plans etc.
- Preparing letters to third parties.
- Inputting initial data into annual client reports.
- Updating in house data records.
- Approving payments on our banking system.
- Organising and Coordinating client visits which includes preparing information bundles.
This is a busy role, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently and remain calm under pressure. You will be expected to think ahead to meet the needs of your team and the clients.
We are a sociable, friendly team – busy and hardworking, but we ensure a good work/life balance.
We work closely together and tend to come into the Bristol office at least two-three days a week.
This role is right for you if:
If you have had at least 12 months of experience working within a busy administrative or office-based role, we would very much like to hear from you.
This role will suit you if you would like to prioritise your own workload, work closely to deadlines, and can work with minimum supervision and under pressure. You will need to demonstrate from experience that you are exceptionally organised and proactive, helpful, with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude.
We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and in providing a first-class support service to your team members, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.
You will have strong written and oral communication skills with excellent spelling and grammar, be proficient with the usual Microsoft packages, including Excel and Outlook, and comfortable with learning new databases and other software packages. You will be exceptionally organised, used to working efficiently and accurately, in a busy and varied role. You pride yourself on your professionalism, with a personal touch and a high standard of honesty and integrity.
You will have a caring nature, seeing this role as more than a ‘job,’ taking your responsibilities to our vulnerable clients very seriously, whether the task is big or small. When it comes to individuals’ lives, every detail matters, so you will be someone who considers the wider implications of what you do, and who likes to go the extra mile.
You will be personable, approachable and with a genuine interest in caring for vulnerable adults and in court of protection as an area of law.
Equally important is your attitude, personality fit and interest/knowledge in court of protection work. Training will be provided to enable you to succeed in this role and make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and develop, which will help you thrive in this role.
While we are a law firm this role does not offer a typical pathway for those looking to qualify as a solicitor however, we can offer progression opportunity into client case management.
