We are seeking a Family Associate/Senior Associate to join our reputable team, handling a varied caseload of high-quality work.
Spanning our Taunton, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton and Manchester offices, our well-regarded Family team is growing. Led by seven Partners nationally, you will be working on highly complex cases, benefitting from the support of our wider team. Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
You will have experience of handling complex, high quality family law matters to include both privately funded financial remedy work, private children law and cohabitation disputes. Our client base comprises professional clients, high net worth individuals, those with business interests and those in the sports and agricultural sectors.
As part of the agricultural sector, you will advise a spectrum of agricultural private clients on complex matrimonial and cohabitation disputes.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to progress their legal career within our highly regarded, friendly and progressive family team.
This role would be supporting our Taunton team so an element of office attendance will be required.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
This role is right for you if:
You will demonstrate talent, ambition and a real interest in handling family law matters. You will have at least 4 years PQE.
You will need to be technically excellent but equally, commercially aware. You will need to be a team player with a client focussed approach and a keenness to become involved in business development activities within the team as a whole, having begun to build up strong local professional connections.
You will have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ideally, you will have an understanding of agricultural markets and appreciation of the specific needs of this client group.
You will be someone who likes to be proactive, and who is flexible working both individually and as part of a team. You will be able to manage a number of different cases and clients effectively.
Communication will be one of your strong points, both written and oral, and you will be enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality service to our clients.
We expect you to be able to use your initiative, and be a forward-planner, anticipating our clients’ needs in advance wherever possible.
