Private Client Series: Problems and pitfalls with Will drafting – why use a professional?

Event details

Clarke Willmott is delighted to invite you to the next webinar in our Private Client Series which is taking place on 28 November 2024 at 12:00pm -1:00pm

A cheap or homemade Will may seem like a way of saving money and avoiding legal fees. However, in this webinar, Sarah Arkless and Tom Chiffers will explain how this is a false economy that can have disastrous consequences later on for your loved ones.

Some of the problems created by poorly drafted Wills include a risk of full or partial intestacy, failed gifts, claims that the Will was invalid and/or inheritance tax consequences.

Sarah and Tom will talk through common mistakes in Wills and discuss recent reported cases. They will also discuss assets which pass outside of a Will and ways to avoid or mitigate against claims or challenges by disappointed beneficiaries.
