Junior PMO Coordinator – PMO – Firm Wide (Excluding London)

We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior PMO Coordinator to join our PMO team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a PMO or project support role and is eager to develop a career within Project Management and Transformation. This role is perfect for someone who is exceptionally organised, excels at administrative tasks, with a strong work ethic and has a keen interest in understanding how projects are managed and executed within a professional services environment.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

  • Support the PMO team in tracking project progress, updating project documentation, and ensuring timelines, governance and budgets are adhered to.
  • Assist in project reporting, including maintaining monthly project status reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and producing regular project status updates.
  • Document management: Ensure that all project-related documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document minutes and actions.
  • Liaise with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and that any project-related queries are addressed promptly.
  • Data analysis: Assist in gathering and analysing data to support project decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas where efficiencies can be gained in project delivery and reporting.
  • Administrative support for the PMO team, including diary management, budget, and risk tracking.

This role is right for you if:

  • Previous experience in a PMO, project support, or administrative role within a corporate or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate and thorough work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools such as MS Project or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Desirable Skills: 

  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project.
  • Any relevant certification in PMO or Project Management.

The salary on offer for this role is c£25,000 depending on experience.
