The Times ‘Best law firms 2024’
Clarke Willmott has once again been named in the prestigious Times Best Law Firms rankings. With our private client team receiving particular commendation for its inheritance and succession work in The Times’s 2024 list.
The listing also mentions our work on the £13.9 million sale of Capital Cash, a pawnbroking and retail services company with 42 stores across England, to Cash Converters, an Australian stock exchange-listed personal finance and second-hand retail company.
Also referenced is our successful work in the Supreme Court, which threw out an appeal against plans for the redevelopment of Bath Rugby’s Recreation Ground site, ending a long-running legal dispute. Clarke Willmott acted for Bath Recreation, the freeholder of the site, as a co-appellant with Bath Rugby, the tenant of the stadium.
The accolade follows another year of strong growth at Clarke Willmott, with our latest results showing revenues of £60.8 million.
Peter Swinburn, CEO of Clarke Willmott, said: “This latest recognition for the work of our private client team is richly deserved. The complexity of the cases we handle and the passion that our team demonstrates with every client is a testament to their commitment. We’re also delighted that the listing illustrated the extent to which we’re able to support our clients with a wide range of services for both business and private clients.
The Times listing follows our success in the recent Legal 500 and Chambers rankings and all three of these prestigious accolades bear witness to our ongoing commitment to our clients as we celebrate our 135th anniversary.”
